Christmas event wrap-up

July 14, 2023

More than 500 Harmony families and local Sunshine Coast residents came together for a night of festive fun last week at our first ever Movie on the Green.

The community gathered in front of a massive 6m outdoor screen on Harmony’s Green (near KAI Coffee) to celebrate a wonderful year at Harmony.

Moviegoers were treated to a free outdoor screening of Will Ferrell’s family favourite – Elf, plus the kids also had the opportunity to say hi to Santa and pass on their Christmas list for his upcoming visit.

Harmony resident and entertainer Johnny Spitz got everyone into the Christmas spirit with renditions of festive favourites like Jingle Bells, Santa Clause is Coming to Town and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

What was really on show was the wonderful community spirit of Harmony. AVID is proud of the community that we’re helping to create, and we look forward to sharing more great experiences, like our Christmas Movie on the Green, with residents and visitors in the New Year.
