Harmony Construction update – December 2016

July 14, 2023

Dear Residents,

Works are currently underway on Palmview’s main entry road, Peter Crosby Way.

Over the next 3.5 weeks detours will be in place on University Way to undertake intersection upgrade works on the corner of University Way and Red Cedar Street. Impacted residents were advised via letterbox drop on 17 November.

Minor clearing works along Claymore Road are also underway and will be contained within Sunshine Coast Council’s road or drainage reserves. These works will not impact the Mooloolah River National Park or adjoining residential properties.

To further minimise impact on local residents, AVID is constructing a temporary haul road to access the Harmony from Pignata Rd adjacent the Bruce Highway.

This road aims to minimise construction traffic movement through Sippy Downs, particularly on Claymore Road and University Way, and will act as Harmony’s main construction access point for the delivery of site materials. Works on this road will be finalised within the next few weeks.

Internal earthworks for Harmony’s preliminary 170 lots, which includes the Display Village, have commenced, with internal civil construction works scheduled to commence next month.

Construction of billboards are also underway along the Bruce Highway to assist in the promotion of builder partner house and land packages.
Current road closures/detours:

– Eastbound lane closure of University Way between Rollins Street and Red Cedar Street

– Stop/Go Traffic Controllers on Claymore Road to assist with shoulder works
